Below is a review I did for the screener of BONG OF THE DEAD.I originally wanted to post it on one site but it turned it out it wasn't going to happen but I still wanted to post this online so here it is.Look forward to a full DVD review in the near future

Holy Zombie glory holes Batman! BONG OF THE DEAD is finally out on DVD!
A pothead discovers that dehydrated Zombie brains makes really super fertilizer which helps produce some super potent weed that would make Cheech and Chong drool. However after all the new super weed is gone the pothead along with his dimwitted friend must go out in the infected areas to get some undead head. Unfortunately for them their quest for some new zombie brains is thwarted by an evil goose stepping light in the loafers leader known as Alex who has rounded up the dead and has started a revolution against the living.
Director Thomas Newman turned up his nose at the notion of film school and decided to make his own film. Armed with only one camera he and his friends shot the film in 15 days all for the mere some of $5000.
Now don’t be thinking this is a film with a couple yahoos running around with toilet paper on their head. While this film did have a modest beginning and even more so of a budget the caliber of talent working on this film is nothing short of professional. .Most notably is make up master Mike Fields (X FILES,MASTER OF HORRORS etc etc etc…)I’m not sure what Thomas Newman did to get Mike Fields to work on this film but I suspect some sort of deal with the devil. However the most impressive thing about this film is BONG OF THE DEAD to date is the only Independent Canadian film that has been accepted at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival..
